Our community becomes stronger, more resilient and more robust when everyone contributes. We believe that everyone has something to offer, and that volunteering at PPCG is a great way to build the community you want to live in.
Current opportunities for volunteering include:
- Supporting our Front desk worker with reception and back up duties
- Supporting other activities such as community kitchens, homework groups, community art activities
- Supporting a particular program such as the Alma Rd Community House Internet Café.

TPCF are recruiting volunteers for our new Community Kitchen in Middle Park and for the Sewing Group in South Melbourne.
Sewing Group: Are you a talented sewer and want to share that talent? Do you like people? Do you want to get involved in your community? The Sewing Class is looking for more volunteer facilitators for Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Our Sewing Class is always looking for donations, including fabric, machines, needles, threads and other crafty bits and pieces – get those bits and pieces out of your storage area and put them to good use with our enthusiastic sewers!
Community Kitchen: You don’t need to be an expert in the kitchen to get involved. Community Kitchens are about enjoying the experience of cooking in a relaxed and friendly group setting, sharing stories, laughs and perhaps some favourite recipes.
