Fill It In: Census 2011 Public Engagement Pilot | Homeless Memorial Anthem | National Homeless Persons Week | Relationship Focused Learning Framework | St Kilda Human Rights Group

Actively contributing to the annual Homeless Memorial Ceremony for over a decade now, PPCG have recently encouraged the aspirations of community members to install a permanent art installation at the Peanut Farm Reserve.  These carved seats confront public consciousness as to the human collateral of homelessness, while creating a space for people to remember lost friends and family.  In 2011, a group of musicians with first-hand understanding of homeless reality, recorded an evocative Homeless Memorial Anthem.  The collaborative piece speaks to the loneliness, anxiety and resourcefulness of people who “carry your home on ‘ya back” .  For more information, or to get involved in the next event, please contact Tullia at the St Kilda office.
